Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms govern your use of Audivo’s website, dashboard, and podcast transcript API. By using the service, you agree to these terms.
1. Your account
You must be legally able to enter a binding agreement to use Audivo. If you use the service for an organization, you must have authority to agree on its behalf. Provide accurate account and billing information, protect your sign-in credentials and API keys, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account, including requests made by applications or agents using your keys.
2. The service
Audivo resolves public podcast episodes and supplies transcripts through its API. Supported inputs, output formats, limits, and plan allowances are described on the website and in the documentation. Availability depends on public feeds, publishers, and third-party services. We may be unable to retrieve or transcribe an episode that is unavailable, unsupported, or restricted.
Transcripts may be generated automatically or obtained from publishers. They can contain omissions, incorrect words, or timing errors. Review output before publishing it or relying on it for decisions. We do not promise an accuracy level or uninterrupted availability unless separately agreed in writing.
3. Acceptable use
You must not use Audivo to:
- Violate applicable law or another person’s privacy, intellectual property, or other rights.
- Bypass authentication, access restrictions, rate limits, or billing controls.
- Interfere with the service, distribute malicious code, or access another customer’s data.
- Create accounts to repeatedly claim free credits or otherwise manipulate allowances.
- Upload audio you do not own or do not have the rights and permissions to have transcribed.
- Misrepresent generated transcripts as verified or authorized statements by a speaker.
4. Content and intellectual property
Public access to a podcast is not a licence to reproduce or redistribute it. Podcasts, publisher transcripts, names, and other third-party material remain subject to their owners’ rights. Paying for Audivo does not transfer those rights or grant permission to use a person’s voice or likeness. You are responsible for obtaining any permissions required for your use of the source content and transcripts.
You retain rights you already hold in material you provide. By requesting processing, you authorize Audivo to retrieve and process the selected content to provide the service, to the extent you have authority to do so. Transcripts may be cached and served to other customers requesting the same public episode. Audivo retains its rights in the service, software, and branding.
When you upload audio, you confirm that you own it or hold the rights and permissions needed for Audivo to store, process, and transcribe it for you, including any consent required from the people recorded, and that you obtained it lawfully. You are responsible for what you upload and for how you use its transcript. Uploaded audio is kept for seven days, after which it becomes unavailable and is removed; its transcript is cached for your account only and is not served to other customers. We may remove an upload or its transcript, and may suspend the account, on a credible notice that it infringes another person’s rights.
5. Prices, credits, and payments
Prices, billing intervals, included credits, and applicable taxes are displayed before purchase. Paid subscriptions renew on the interval shown at checkout until cancelled. Stripe processes payments. You authorize the charges you approve at checkout and any recurring charges disclosed there.
The API provides a credit quote before you confirm work. Confirming a quote authorizes the stated credit reservation or charge, including when an application or agent confirms it using your API key. Billing treatment for cached transcripts and new processing is described in the quote and documentation. Credits are service allowances, not money or a transferable financial asset.
If you enable automatic recharge, you authorize additional purchases under the settings you select. You can disable it in the dashboard. Disabling automatic recharge and cancelling a subscription are separate actions.
6. Cancellation, refunds, and deletion
You can manage or cancel your subscription through the billing portal linked from the dashboard. The portal shows when cancellation takes effect and how it affects your paid access. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not itself request a refund or delete your account.
Free and promotional credits have no cash refund value. For payment errors or questions about unused paid credits, contact us with your account email and payment reference. Refund eligibility depends on the purchase terms and applicable law. These terms do not exclude any mandatory withdrawal, refund, or remedy rights.
Account deletion ends access and forfeits remaining service credits, subject to any rights required by law. Cancel your subscription, disable automatic recharge, resolve any refund request, and export needed account data before deleting your account.
7. Privacy and content concerns
Our Privacy Policy explains the information we process, the providers we use, and your data rights. If you believe content available through Audivo violates your rights, contact us with the episode or transcript identifier, the source URL, a description of the concern, and enough information to verify your relationship to the material. We may restrict access while assessing a substantiated complaint or legal request.
8. Suspension and service changes
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, non-payment, or legal obligations. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and allow you to resolve the issue. Urgent security or legal situations may require immediate action.
We may improve, change, or discontinue features. For material changes affecting an ongoing paid service, we will give reasonable notice where practicable and provide any cancellation or refund rights required by applicable law. Price changes will be disclosed before they apply to a future purchase or renewal.
9. Responsibility and legal rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without additional warranties beyond those stated in these terms or separately agreed in writing. We are not responsible for third-party content or failures outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer protections, including rights relating to faulty digital services. Any dispute is subject to applicable law and the courts with jurisdiction under that law.
10. Changes to these terms
We will post updated terms here with a revised date and provide notice of material changes where required. Changes apply prospectively. If a change requires your agreement under applicable law, we will obtain it before applying that change to you.
